Memos

Notes/Docs

Lightweight, privacy-first note-taking with a quick-capture timeline.

Memos is a privacy-first, lightweight note-taking service built for quick capture: type a thought, add tags, and it lands in a timeline you can browse, search or view on a calendar. Notes are plain Markdown, can carry attachments and be shared publicly or kept private, and everything is stored in a single SQLite file by default. It is a minimal self-hosted alternative to Google Keep that runs happily on almost any hardware.

Architectures
amd64, arm64
Database
SQLite
Resource footprint
256 MB RAM · 1 CPU
Extremely light — a single Go binary that used only around 60 MB of RAM in our test LXC. Memory use stays small even with thousands of notes; attachments are the main thing that grows storage.
