Audiobookshelf

Media

Self-hosted audiobook and podcast server with mobile apps.

Audiobookshelf is a self-hosted audiobook and podcast server with a polished web player and official Android and iOS apps. It scans your folders, pulls in covers and metadata, tracks listening progress per user and syncs it across devices, with support for multiple libraries, series, collections and podcast auto-download. If you own DRM-free audiobooks or listen to public-domain recordings, it gives you an Audible-like experience on your own hardware.

Resource footprint
512 MB RAM · 1 CPU
Light at idle — around 125 MB of RAM with a small library in our test LXC. Scanning large libraries and transcoding for some clients temporarily raise CPU and RAM use; storage needs depend entirely on your audiobook and podcast collection.
